The presentation examined Israel's national AI strategy and innovation ecosystem, highlighting how coordinated investments in research, infrastructure, and industry collaboration have contributed to building a globally competitive AI ecosystem. It reviewed the Israeli National AI Program, which promotes AI research, technology transfer, computational infrastructure, localized natural language processing, talent development, regulatory innovation, and AI adoption in the public sector through close collaboration among government, academia, and industry. Particular attention was given to the role of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in fostering innovation through collaborative research, startup creation, and technology commercialization. The presentation also highlighted representative national initiatives, including AI and high-performance computing (AI+HPC) infrastructure, localized NLP technologies for Hebrew and Arabic, and large-scale pre-competitive research consortia designed to accelerate innovation across strategic sectors. Overall, the presentation demonstrated how Israel has established an integrated AI innovation ecosystem through coordinated national policies, strategic investment, and strong academia–industry collaboration, offering valuable insights into strengthening national AI competitiveness and innovation capacity.
